Flufftober 2025 Day 10: Set up by friends.
The war is over. Geralt, Yennefer, Ciri and Jaskier are alive and well in Cintra, which Ciri has reclaimed. And yet, there is no end to the suffering of Albert, Radovid’s royal bard who has to play Jaskier’s songs to him over and over again. Why Jaskier keeps singing about the King as if he was the one that got away instead of just talking to him, or why the King keeps sighing as he stares out of the window, he has no idea.
All he knows is he needs this to end.

Radovid didn’t care. What was, what is, what was to come, none of it mattered. He wasn’t plotting and using Jaskier, not anymore. As the world he had thought to understand had crumbled to ruins around him, as he was aimlessly wandering through chaos, Jaskier was the only solid rock, the one thing that made sense to him. The only thing he wanted now was him, not a single unrelated thought roamed in his mind. “Then take me here.”
Prince Radovid of Redania never truly belonged anywhere, passing his time as renowned playboy, pretending to be a foolish drunkard to be left alone. Everything changes when he gets sucked into political matters he had never had any interest in and in the course of it meets a certain bard who shows him that life can in fact be different.
