After his friend loses his brother, Mikey realizes that he too will lose his brothers one day. His mind latches onto this idea, this fear, and doesn't let go. Mikey doesn't know how to disclose this fear to those around him--- and even worse: he doesn't know if he should.

Sometimes he wished he could transfer his consciousness to a robot. That way, he would live his life to the fullest, with only the necessary information entering his brain and non-exhaustive energy usage. He avoided sharing this desire with the others, lest he'd be proving Leo right with his “Dontron” shtick— but sometimes Donnie truly wanted to be a machine.
Sometimes he didn't even feel that different when compared to one.
