The old Alpha leans in, devious intent glittering behind the mask. “You should use 456.”

“Really. I want you to have him. I picked him out for you. His scent is excellent, despite his background. And he’s very docile.”
“That’s very thoughtful, sir,” In-ho says, and tries to turn away, but the Host catches at his sleeve and emits a musty pulse of dominant pheromones, the frail old fingers shockingly strong.
"Tonight,” he says placidly. “He’ll die tomorrow, and I want those tapes.”
In-ho’s stomach turns. They’ve never intruded on his rut like this, on a moment of privacy this primal, this raw.
“I have,” he says, slightly raw around the edges, “Perhaps, a... more entertaining alternative.”-
The Host wants the Front Man to put on a show with Player 456. In-ho would rather eat glass, so he comes up with an alternative offer.

He couldn't hurt Gi-hun like that. No matter if the VIPs' rage went far enough to kill In-ho after this failure.In which In-ho finally snaps and decides to betray the puppeteers behind the games. Leading up to a pact between him and Gi-hun, where they are forced to trust each other to topple the games. And compelled to inevitably see behind the facade of the other person.

Gihun wasn’t like the other gulls.
He didn’t do the seasonal migration thing like the others. He liked to stay inland where the humans lived. There were plenty of food sources to choose from. His favorite was a tasty dumpster behind a sushi bar downtown. It was ruled by a gang of feral cats, but the occasional piece of uni was worth getting a claw to the face. Another nice spot was behind the mall where all the restaurants dumped their leftovers. And if Gihun wanted something healthy on a particular day, he’d head to one of the fish markets and steal a bite from an unfortunate stall.
His latest favorite haunt was the Golden Moon Stock Exchange tower. A little glasses-wearing man would come out a few times during the week and toss delicious things at Gihun while lighting up one of those crunchy little paper sticks.

Gi-hun is staring at her chest.
She can't tear her eyes off the view, but nervously tries to avert her eyes from it whenever In-ho is just about to catch a glimpse of the taller woman’s scandalous ogling. She is noticeably fidgety, and overly polite when In-ho looks at her or addresses her.
In-ho can’t deny that she likes it– the ordinary, stubborn, and fixated Gi-hun, who dedicated her every breath on the heroic agenda to put a stop to the Games; the Seong Gi-hun, now forced to rediscover ordinary human weaknesses.
In-ho likes that the reason for Seong Gi–hun’s undoing is herself – what a delightful twist of events.
In a moment of extreme amusement, it immediately occurs to her to make a dangerous, risky gamble.

And he looks devastated, horrified at the sight of In-ho.
“It’s you”, Gi-hun says like an accusation, voice breaking, the smell of alcohol leaking further into the air. “I want him.”

In-ho deserves this. But it doesn’t soften the burst of agony in his chest.In-ho chooses self-imposed prison walls, Gi-hun copes through denial. Alternative ending to season 3.
