Eleven is an orphan in District 12. This year, she is the only tribute in District 12. Every boy between 12-18 years old got killed by the Capitol, and the rest... killed themselves.
Lucas Sinclair saw his sister up in that stage and he knew she was going to die. So, before he could even think about it, he had already volunteared as tribute.
Mike has a family, and he's scared. He has no one to be with and no help in the arena... or so he thought.
"I'm fucked up" said Dustin when he heard his name get called in the reaping. This is one of the things you don't actually sense as real until it's your turn to experience them.
Max has trained her whole life to be a tribute, but she never wanted to volunteer. She didn't think any of this was right but, when she got chosen, she didn't feel too bad. She would win. Even if it meant killing the other tribute who, conviniently, was her brother Billy.
Nancy was a role model. Good grades, good life, good person. But she stopped wanting to be that when her name got called in the reping. She knew, from now on, she was going to fight.
