Summary
There are a few things Five Hargreeves no longer believes in: peace, functional siblings, and the possibility that the universe might one day give him a break.
Unfortunately, none of that changes the fact that Klaus accidentally opened a doorway to the afterlife—again—and now Ben is back. Glowing. Floating. Sarcastic. And entirely too observant for Five’s liking.
What begins as just another disaster in the long list of Hargreeves catastrophes slowly spirals into something Five hadn’t expected: conversations he didn’t know he needed, silences that sting less, and the terrifying realization that maybe, just maybe, he doesn’t mind Ben being around.
