Since Lex is smart and Clark is a crap liar, once they're alone in a room together, Lex figures out that Clark must know something about him pre-memory-loss. Basically, Lex is brilliant and there's loads of UST (or ST that gets resolved ;) but also suspicion or antagonism.

To save Lois's life, Clark makes a bargain with Lex. Complications ensue. R for sexual situations and Lex being a big jerk; also (mainly offscreen) violence. If you think things like mating bonds pose issues of consent, then there are definitely issues of consent here, though not exactly mating bonds. Well, Lex in himself is a walking issue of consent, isn't he?

"I—You did?"
"Yep," says Luthor—Lex, popping the 'p' like bubble gum. "And then you rescued me, gave me mouth-to-mouth, and the rest is history."
Clark's brain gets jammed on the 'mouth-to-mouth' part, and it takes him several seconds to hear Chloe mutter under her breath, "Oh my god, the heart really does remember."
