Despite what Chloe might say — that spending time together in various locales seems a lot like *dating* — Clark has totally closed the book on Lex.
Totally.
Even if this new Lex seems very... emotionally evolved.
And incredibly fucking sweet.

“Usually,” Lex emphasized, “is not the same as always. Do try to grasp the difference.”
Superman’s eyes narrowed, searching his face for the telltale twitch of a lie. “I don’t believe you.”
“Of course you don’t,” Lex snapped. “You never do.”
Five times Lex tried to woo Superman, but Superman was convinced Lex was secretly plotting to kill him, and one time he almost did.
