Summary
At last, there is peace in Masyaf. The Templar has been defeated, and the Power of Eden is theirs. The Eagle of Masyaf, even, is back.
And yet.
Five years after he lost everything, Malik al-Sayf struggles with the consequences of their acts. The world is never black, or white, or even grey; it is kaleidoscope. Nothing is true, everything is permitted, and from the multicoloured shatters of the many lives that could have been, would have been,
(have never been)
it is up to them to rebuild Masyaf.
The illusion of Paradise is now lost; and in its place, it is time to build a home.
------
The third (and final) part of the "Eagle of Masyaf" Omegaverse AU. This time, with less assassin-on-assassin murder attemps, even longer historical context footnotes that will probably make you cry, and, last, but not least:
everybody, at some point in this story, gets An Actual Break. At last, the (somewhat) happy end.

Summary
The Journey begins with a Fool's first step.
-
An Astarion-centric retelling of the main plot, this series is inspired by the Fool's Journey, a story told through the Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot's Major Arcana.
Each chapter stands for a card. Each chapter is a step closer to apotheosis.

Summary
"Altaïr ibn La'Ahad is what they called me. But I would prefer if you continued calling me Ibrahim in public."
Her eyes widened.
"You? You are the Eagle of Masyaf?"
And that was an easy enough question to settle. For the first time, there, he let his eyes burn while she watched, heard her breath catch at the unnatural sight of them. Let that be answer enough.
"I didn't expect-"
"An omega? None of them do."
------
A lost soul in the storm, Altaïr ibn La'Ahad must seek a new beginning, far from the loss of his home and brothers in Masyaf.
An Omegaverse AU story and the second act sequel to "An Exercise In Flight", now complete with Rauf gratuitously kicking Malik's ass and even longer end notes :D

Summary
Seeing the map, in all its golden splendour, calls to Altaïr like a djinn. Moving without thought, he picks the orb from the floor and then, there is silence.
And then, there is pain.
-
"How did this happen?"
"You see, I prayed really hard to Allah yesterday and he decided, in his infinite wisdom and grace, that the Eagle of Masyaf ought to have a pair of wings."
"No, seriously."
"How the fuck should I know, Malik?"

Summary
"I would rather die."
"You are certain of this?"
A nod.
"Very well. For breaking the tenets of our Creed and losing the life of one of our own, you, Altaïr ibn La'Ahad, shall pay with your head. Take him away."
-----------
With freedom clipped by failure at the Temple of Jerusalem, arrogance exerts a heavy cost on Altaïr. Trapped by his loyalty to the Order and indebted by the losses caused by his mistakes, the young omega must make difficult decisions if he is ever to fly again.

Summary
The cost had been too great.
When he had sealed that door, he knew the toll it would take on his mind, body, and soul. And he deserved it. He had committed genocide against his own children, had forced a most horrible fate upon his “favored” one, and in the end it had all been for naught.
His failure was absolute. He deserved nothing but an execution for his terrible misdeeds...But when an impossible event gives him a second chance?
He knows he does not deserve it, and he doubts that he won’t squander it. But alas, he dares to dream...
alt: A depressed (but very much alive) wyrm is taken back to before the infection had started, and when the Abyss hadn't yet seen a single stillborn thrown into its depths. Can he set things right with a second chance thrown his way?

Summary
News of the Elder Brain’s fall in Baldur’s Gate spread far and wide, but in Waterdeep, Gale’s return lent it more immediacy. The position at Blackstaff was something he tripped into more than earned, but it’s hard to complain. Life these days – it’s peaceful. During the day, he teaches. By night, he cooks, Tara by his side.
And Minthara – well. Minthara is a surprise.

Summary
Minthara follows the wizard back to Waterdeep, and in a moment of rawness, she contemplates her self-worth.
Minthara has done nothing of value to prove she's worthy of one day donning the matron crown, to feel the unnerving yet beautiful weight of hizagkuur metal upon her head. Her idleness could not warrant the luxury of a meticulously shaped headdress of spindly arachnid legs, one that would delicately curl along her temples like a laurel.
No, because instead of seizing her birthright, Minthara's fallen for the wizard's gentle demeanor. She questions if she's even worthy of that, but she still lets him whisper sweet promises recited in a poetic cadence (words that, if uttered by another, she surely would have called for their end with a swing of her sword), and since following him to his tower, she's allowed him to court her, treat her like some demure Waterdhavian noble maiden.

Summary
She will burn the nest of poison vipers that calls itself House Baenre to the ground and their monstrous goddess with them. She will take control, reshape their world in her image, and she will smile as her mother rots in a sunlit flowery grave.
And then, once their conquest is complete, she will return to Waterdeep with her wizard and lay in this bed with him (annoyed, because he didn’t close the curtains properly and the sun is creeping in through the crack). It will be so, it will be good.

Summary
Astarion is near the docks when he feels Cazador's compulsion on him snap. He doesn't think twice. He just takes the next available ship out of Baldur's Gate. Its destination: The City of Splendors. Waterdeep.
*
Gale takes back the glass, now empty, and then seems to fidget a little. “There is something I wanted to get your opinion on- but it can wait until you’ve recovered. You don’t look well at all- no offense meant, of course.”
“None taken,” Astarion says sweetly. “Please go on. Tell me exactly what it is about my appearance that you find lacking.”
