This is a post 'Chosen' Spike story which I wrote just after it aired in 2003, and which (at the time) had the dubious honour of being the only novel-length story I had ever completed. I haven't re-read it before I re-posted it from ff.net, because I think maybe my brain would explode with the need to edit/rewrite it, so I apologise for any typos or horrible grammar. I feel it's important I let this particular sleeping dog lie. I hope you enjoy it. And thanks to @RebCake for requesting it.

Summary
While under her Will Be Done spell, Willow just happened to say “I don’t care about anything,” and as a result, wanders blithely off as a vengeance demon. Spike and Buffy are left to protect a threatened Xander and a blind Giles while under the effect of a powerful love charm. But all is not happy in paradise – they’re still constantly fighting, and Angel is determined to end the spell they’re under. In a desperate attempt to collect the tattered remains of all their lives, ex-watcher Wesley Windham-Pryce is called in to try and play marriage counselor between the vampire and the slayer. Not entirely as crack fic or as fluffy as the premise would suggest, though it starts funny.

Summary
Spike's worldly possessions have just been distributed following his demise in the Hellmouth, when he pops up in Angel's offices. His new contract with the PTP stipulates that he aid Angel in his journey. Too bad nobody knows what that journey might be. Another problem: Buffy is guaranteed a happy life if Spike never sees her again, and she has some objections to that clause.
Alternate version of Angel Season 5 with rock 'n' roll and road trips, from multiple viewpoints. AU after Chosen.
