He’s left with no choice but to cut himself with a holy water infused knife. It’s not something that can kill him immediately but will over time. Will Aziraphale find him and be able to help him? Will they both mend their broken hearts?

Aziraphale comes back to visit literally hours after he leaves, and Crowley feels like an idiot for having gone through a full mental breakdown in the intermediate hours.
When he opens his front door to find the smiling angel on the other side, he clumsily wipes away the tears he feels falling behind his glasses.
He gapes at him. Gawks, in fact. Completely confused as to why the angel looks so happy – and why he appears to be wearing a heavenly uniform instead of his trusty old suit.

“Is that what the kids are calling it these days—”
“You, hush. I’m sure this—” He gestures to their naked, entwined bodies— “won’t even make the top ten.”

“Alright.”
Aziraphale was getting more and more flustered admitting this… whatever it was.
“I need to have you all to myself.” He said, emphatically. Crowley chuckled.
“Oh Angel, you’ve got me! I’m all yours.”
“I need to show you, though. I feel that terrible… vice of mine come to the surface when I’m around you. And I keep having all these horrible thoughts, Crowley.” He took a step towards the demon.” I need to make you feel that you’re mine. Only mine.”
Crowley put down his book slowly, paying full attention.
“Ok.”
The angel blinked. “What?”
“Show me then.”

Aziraphale can't bring himself to return to Earth after he and Crowley's last interaction on Earth. Another four years go by without hearing from his best friend while Aziraphale stays in Heaven, and Muriel remains in the bookshop. The two angels meet up often on a scheduled weekly basis, but Muriel calls on Aziraphale off schedule one day. Something is wrong.
Falling into the trap of Hozier lyric titles because I thought of this song as soon as I finished watching S2.
