Summary
Zedaph grunts as he heaves up another armful of shulker boxes, the furrow in his brow the only sign of strain.
Tango watches Zedaph work, his hooves clip-clopping away as he lugs the boxes over to the far corner for sorting.
This batch of shulkers carries buttloads of stone, Tango remembers, the lot of it so heavy that he just kinda accepted that he’d have to go back and forth to grab his materials– and yet here Zed is, carrying them like it’s no big deal.
Tango swallows. Man, is it hot in here or what?

“Impulse says you’re hurt,” Bdubs tells him. That makes Etho react. He turns, looking at Bdubs.
“Not angry?”
“He says you’re lashing out out of pain, not anger.”
“I didn’t know he was a psychologist.” His tone is biting. Bdubs hears it.
“Etho,” he scolds. And it’s just that. Just his name, and Etho feels ashamed and smaller. “He’s worried about you.”
Oh, screw Impulse and his perfect boyfriend attitude. Etho will punch him in the face next time he sees him.
“I know what’s happening, Ladders,” Bdubs continues, and Etho snorts, almost despite himself.
“Somehow, I very much doubt that.”
Because Bdubs is in tune with people’s feelings, and he is a very observant person, but Etho has loved him in silence for years, has spent all of this time by his side, and Bdubs has never said a thing.
So he feels perfectly allowed to be skeptical.
“You’re jealous,” Bdubs says, and Etho forgets how to breathe.Etho is jealous of the growing bond between Bdubs and Impulse, right up until he isn't.

A friend once asked Tango if he thought he could survive to the end of a horror movie. At the time, Tango laughed so hard he nearly choked on the soda he’d been drinking— a dark cherry-flavored one that burned his throat and nostrils so bad his eyes watered. He laughed because of course he wouldn’t, but also how ridiculous of a question was that?
Or; Three-hundred and thirty-four days into the end of the world and counting. Tango's just glad he doesn't have to do it alone anymore.

Doc and Ren are supposed to be partners - they have great plans for this season, fantastic ones even! There's an adventure brewing on the horizon, clouded by mechanical steam, the crawling of walkers, and the thunder of a thousand lightning strikes. Except... Ren is gone, stuck in a far off server, stuck in Last Life. And the bad news is, it looks like he's going to be stuck there even longer than he originally thought he would be. The good news is, Ren has sent Doc a gift; a little something to help in his adventures, something to go in his stead. To bad Doc isn't much of a dog person.

Summary
Thomas and Guy-Manuel wear helmets, which is to say they put on masks. For lots of different reasons: shyness, the desire for anonymity, the belief in artistic merit over the cult of personality, the potential of elevating performance.
Thomas does it because he wants to be someone else. Guy-Manuel does it because he doesn’t want to be himself. They sound like the same thing, but they’re really not.
Put another way: there’s a reason Thomas’s helmet has a face, and Guy-Manuel’s doesn’t.
