Summary
Have two people ever needed to get a different perspective on their lives more than Colin and Anthony Bridgerton? Neither of them see themselves, each other or the women in their lives clearly. So what would happen if they wake up one morning only to find they have swapped bodies? Will Colin be able to see how weighed down Anthony is by his own impossibly high expectations of who he believes he needs to be to protect and love his family? Will he be able to see why Anthony may seem too hard on him? Will he see just how much Pen truly means to him?
As for Anthony, will he be able to see how hard it has been for Colin to feel invisible and unworthy? Will he be able to reconcile how his own actions may have contributed to that? Will he also see that sometimes it is important to lead with your heart, especially when it comes to falling in love? What will happen when their lives literally get mixed around, and will they ever return to their own bodies or are they destined to be trapped as one another?
Or Colin and Anthony accidentally body swap in season 2.
This story will start off as following a mixture of the show and the books until chaos throws a wrench into it!

“Pen! Colin!” Her cousin’s voice rang out. Penelope turned to see Marina making her way towards them, a guy- George, she assumed, that was the only other name she’d ever heard Marina say when it came to work- close behind. Once they’d made their way through the crowd, Marina hugged Colin and then threw an arm around her. “You two have met already! Great! How did that happen?”
Colin looked at her with a little amused smirk that Penelope could confidently say right now would be the death of her. “Oh, you’re going to love this story, right, Pen?”
The use of the nickname almost startled her. She usually hated it when people called her Pen when they barely knew her; it felt like a level of familiarity that they didn’t have. But with Colin, she couldn’t bring herself to mind too much. Penelope smiled to mask her internal meltdown. It wasn’t like she didn’t already know, but this was most definitely Marina’s work crush Colin.
The same Colin she was maddeningly attracted to.
Fuck.
Penelope goes to a work party with Marina, looking forward to meeting this her work crush that she can't stop talking about, she doesn't expect to fall for him too.
