"Robin seemed to stare at him for a moment like he was caught off guard by the simple question, but then he resolved himself. “Just came to see you. Bruce said you guys would be out here, but it took a while to find the place since I didn’t even know we had a baseball field.” After saying the last remark, he laughed awkwardly to himself, but Finney laughed right back at him much more easily.
“I probably wouldn’t have either if Bruce hadn’t demanded I try out for the team when he caught me in freshman orientation. He was a freshman cohort leader, and he recognized me from high school–” Finney felt his face scrunch oddly at the reminiscence, “–apparently he thought I had good pitch.”
“Yeah, no kidding,” Robin muttered just loud enough for Finney to hear.
“Hmm?” He switched to windmills, returning his glance to the other man every time he looked up. Robin’s cheeks were becoming a visible red.
“I mean, we all knew you had a great arm, Finn,” Robin said as if it was both obvious to know but embarrassing to be aware of."

He met Robin Arellano one overnight shift when the man showed up tapping at the door with a darkening bruise around his eye and a split lip—the missing ID, black eye, and lip painted a suspicious picture, but messy bun, bandana, and pretty eyes overrode Finney’s common sense. He scanned him in and waved him over, careful to maintain a disappointed eyebrow scrunch.
“Hey, sorry about that, uh…”—the man looked at the name plaque—“Finney?”
Finney in question snorted in amusement. “Sure. What’s your name and ID number?”

He has approximately zero words for what happens when Rozanov corners him in a hotel corridor after Game 7 and says, very quietly, in that voice: "You always leave before I can talk to you." Shane has absolutely no idea what to do with that.

The Voyageur is strong, fast, handsome, and just about everything the city of Ottawa could ever want in a superhero. Shane Hollander is very good at staying under the radar as a local crime reporter.
Ilya Rozanov is just trying to take down his family's corrupt business from the inside. He didn't really intend to become a vigilante and he definitely didn't mean to develop a crush on the city's #1 super-boy. Or on the journalist helping him take his father down.
