His fiery, amber eyes seemingly glowed in the quick descent of darkness – expression entirely unreadable, but she didn’t study it further when his lithe form pushed past her without a word, silently falling into step with the others.
The Mew had no clue how to interpret his actions, but that small exchange forced her to realize that Quiche’s advice before was meant as a warning. 'Stay away,' it said, 'because I know I’ll make you do something you’re going to regret, and I can’t stop myself from chasing after you.'
If she didn’t tiptoe carefully around their interactions, curiosity absolutely would kill the cat – the cat and its deeply cherished relationship, too. From one of her idol magazines, Minto knows how many languages Zakuro speaks: six, and they are Japanese, Chinese, English, French, German, Spanish. She has known this since she was eleven. But she can never tell the meaning of Zakuro’s words. She is enigmatic. Always has been.
