Ichigo still wasn’t sure how to feel about Quiche, after everything. It would be stupid to trust him, but the more she was around him, the more she began to realize that cooperating with him might play in her benefit even more than she could have ever anticipated.
She reached down and pulled the small knife from her sock. She tossed it between her and Quiche, letting it skid to a stop on the slick, white floors. Quiche hummed in amusement, his smirk growing wider as he glanced between Ichigo and the knife on the ground between them. A truce, of sorts — or, at least, that was what Ichigo intended it as. A hand of cards laid down between them.
“Don’t come into my room anymore,” Ichigo muttered, “and maybe I won’t need those.”
“Deal,” Quiche replied with a grin.

Retasu is obviously dating this guy to forget someone. All Bu-Ling wants to do is remember. Zakuro and Minto are fighting to decide if they want kids. And Ichigo? Ichigo looked over her shoulder at the alien, not sure if she should address what happened earlier. His fiery, amber eyes seemingly glowed in the quick descent of darkness – expression entirely unreadable, but she didn’t study it further when his lithe form pushed past her without a word, silently falling into step with the others.
The Mew had no clue how to interpret his actions, but that small exchange forced her to realize that Quiche’s advice before was meant as a warning. 'Stay away,' it said, 'because I know I’ll make you do something you’re going to regret, and I can’t stop myself from chasing after you.'
If she didn’t tiptoe carefully around their interactions, curiosity absolutely would kill the cat – the cat and its deeply cherished relationship, too. The most frightening revelation for her was that she had already gotten a taste of the sweet satisfaction that was enticingly beckoning to bring her back.Series
