They find the little spot behind Wylan’s ear where he’s especially ticklish. Normally, he shrieks with laughter when Jesper touches him there. Now he just lays there, oblivious to everything. “You look really well,” Jesper says then, unable to help himself.
“I know,” Wylan says plainly, with a small shrug. “It’s classic me. Came to college and got pretty.”
Jesper laughs, although he’s not fully sure why. It just feels like such a Wylan response to give, whatever that could mean; a little self-deprecating, and also gesturing to the understanding—the knowledge—that they have of each other. Is it classic Wylan, to do this? Only Jesper would be able to tell. Only they could understand each other like this, even now.

Jesper and Wylan aren’t friends in school, but they certainly aren’t strangers, no matter how much they try to act like it. In university, their lives continue to weave in and out of one another’s, pushing and pulling each other through their insecurities, pasts, and other relationships. This year their luck is supposed to change, with hockey prodigy Wylan Van Eck, aka 'The Demo Man' joining them. But will past grudges and complex family histories get in the way of the team cohesion necessary to win them a championship?

Jesper, Inej, Kaz, Nina and Matthias are best friends who are all part of the ice hockey team for the same university. When Wylan joins the men's team, him and Jesper get off to a rocky start that soon buds into homoerotic chaos. Featuring Kaz and Nina bickering, Inej and Jesper being siblings, and Matthias being Matthias.
