There was some relief for Flynn in knowing he was not the only one out there searching so hard, determined and others not giving up either.
Flynn set the quill in the inkwell, leaned back in his chair, looking to the ceiling. The candle going with only a few short more minutes left to spare. Summary
Killian finds Walter to be such a stark contradiction to all he knows about the HTUV that he fixates on him.
He escapes the final confrontation (movie) with all of Walter’s violence-free combat still fresh and overwhelming in his mind.
Interest quickly morphs into obsession, and the man who spent years meticulously and methodically plotting his revenge against the HTUV has no issue at all reinvesting the same amount of time and energy into getting his hands on Walter Beckett.
