Summary
Jason had always known the red helmet was a bad idea. Even when the thought had hit him those months ago, like a freight train had veered off path and slammed into his unsuspecting chest, he’d been filled with a sick, twisted notion of wrong.
Or
Jason struggles to reconcile who he was with who he is.

Summary
When Jason was five years old and his father wasn’t home, he would slip into his parents’ bedroom and curl up beside his mother. Catherine was warm and safe, while everything outside his own bedroom window threatened the opposite—and despite always making sure to leave before she could awake, he was sure she knew about it. After the drugs, though, she stopped falling asleep at the same time he did, and in turn, he stopped going to her room at night.
It got easier to remember her warmth than to risk walking in and finding her cold.
Or
Where Jason is touch-starved, but he doesn't know how to communicate it. Everything sort of falls apart from there.

Summary
No more than ten minutes later, the Pit began to swirl in Jason’s stomach as a face he’d only seen in newspapers and under a domino mask walked in.
Tim was wearing Wayne Enterprise-appropriate clothes but in all the wrong ways. His tie was out of shape, his shirt half-untucked, and there were creases in his suit that would have sent Alfred into a coma. He meandered up to the counter, looking as at ease as he did in the Robin suit. Like he belonged.
Jason stood and reminded himself to breathe properly. Tried to calm the lingering green that, no matter how hard he tried, was set on having its way.
Tim was already done ordering when he made his way over.
Or
Jason never really did get the hang of this whole 'family' thing.
...Except his brother has octopus arms, Alfred has tea, and Tim decided now was the perfect time to get himself poisoned on Jason's watch.

Summary
He opened the door, flowers in hand, and made his way out into the cool Gotham air, tugging the fitted suit away from his neck and trying not to think of the past few weeks. The graveyard was empty when he arrived. No one to see Bruce’s downcast eyes, no one to comment on the improper way he held himself.
There was always going to be a hole in Bruce’s heart. He had known it for years—his parents had taken a large portion of it that not even becoming Batman had managed to fill (although he had certainly tried).
He just never thought taking a street kid in would lead to this.
Basically, I had the horrible thought of 'What if Jason never came back to life, and he died thinking Bruce hated him?'
And then I made it infinitely worse. -

Summary
“Your robes are…red,” Hermione finally said, strangely accusing.
“Burgundy!” Severus protested. Red was tacky. Burgundy, however, had class.
“And what did you do to your hair?” she asked in horrified fascination.
Snape’s hand rose to his scalp.
“Nothing! What is wrong with you? I just washed it and blow-dried it like every morning…”
“Ah, I see.” She nodded and stepped back. “Alternate dimension. It must be.”

Bookmarker's Notes
I was originally going to make a bunch of bookmarked tags but realised I have way too many things I want to say about this fic xD I’m a little sleep deprived so forgive me for my lack of coherence, but oh my gosh GO READ THIS RAHHH—
It’s the perfect sort of comforting, harrowing, like a warm hug amidst the pouring rain type story, that’s got the right amount of silly while still maintaining a serious tone when it needs to (that…made sense? Yeah.) Also I gotta point out that the grammar was LOVELY and I was rarely taken out of the story because of it (this is VERY high praise, trust)
One thing I couldn’t help but think while reading is that fifteen year old me would have loved to read this—it still read great to me now, but it reminded me of that time when something like this would have literally stole my heart (and I loved the nostalgia this brought because of that; it honestly reminded me of the original Harry Potter books in a good way).
Also also, the characters in this plus the character development are unrivalled and I will never read another fic that will do it quite as well—I just know that. Anyway, I’ve yapped enough (I stayed up way too late finishing this lol) umm, go read this. It’s great :) -

Summary
There was another student here.
Tom recognized him vaguely—while transfer students were not necessarily uncommon due to the war, they were rare enough to at least make an impression. This particular transfer student was in his year, sorted into Ravenclaw after an impressively long hat stall. He looked like he might be descended from the Potter line, but he did not share the surname so his lineage was of no particular interest to Tom. Nothing about him was of particular interest to Tom, in fact, and yet here he stood, holding the book that Tom had come here to find.
It would be a good time to turn away. The Restricted Section was restricted for a reason—only books documenting extremely dangerous or extremely advanced magic were stored here.
Tom’s feet, however, suddenly felt as if they were made of lead. It wasn’t magic keeping him tied down, but something far more mysterious like curiosity or even fate. In any case, the delay was all it took for the Ravenclaw to lift his chin and meet Tom’s eyes.
This Ravenclaw, Tom realized, had eyes as blindingly green as the Killing Curse.

Summary
Homecoming AU.
Ben and May divorced before Peter’s parents died, so when Ben is murdered Peter goes into foster care. It takes just a tiny taste of superpowers for Peter to decide he doesn’t want to put up with his horrible foster father anymore—the streets are infinitely more appealing. All he wants is to be Spider-Man anyway.
So he leaves.
Simple.
Simple, that is, until Iron Man needs Spider-Man’s help. Peter isn’t about to turn down an opportunity to fight alongside Tony Freaking Stark, but he also isn’t going to let his hero know that his recruit is a fifteen-year-old homeless dropout. So they strike a deal. Peter will help Tony. In return, the mask stays on.
And that’s when things get complicated.
