Presentation is always a big deal, regardless of who was presenting.
However, it truly was something when a Madrigal presented- it was second only to their gift ceremony. Whenever a Madrigal presented, it gave great hope to those in the Encanto to shoot their shot and prove themselves worthy of becoming a mate to the magical family.

The day stretched on into the night, and so far Mirabel felt… fine. She didn’t feel queasy, her family’s comforting scents offsetting her anxiety. As she was escorted to her room for the night by her parents, she slowly felt her nerves creeping up as she still felt none of the tell tale signs. Summary
The sudden weight on her shoulder makes Isabela go quiet, gaze softening at the sight that greets her as soon as she turns her head, her hands moving on their own accord to remove the glasses that hang precariously on the tip of Mirabel’s nose.
The floor beneath them is far from comfortable, but the thought of leaving for her bed doesn’t once cross her mind. She only thinks about how it’ll get dark soon and she limits herself to drawing the blanket higher up so Mirabel won’t get cold. It makes Isabela smile, how Mirabel only curls closer, and the realisation of how far they’ve come in order to comfortably sit side by side like this hits her.
