"I thought they were just a myth," Mirabel breathed out, feeling a thrill of excitement and apprehension coursed through her veins. She had heard rumors of them from townspeople, always telling her that this place dwells with creatures such as these majestic creatures.
She recalled that there had been wars between man and mermaids, but as time passed, laws were created to keep peace in the world they both inhabited. Though the stories and rumors amused her, she didn't believe much of what they said, thinking it was a kid's fairytale.
Now, Mirabel understood it was so much more.
Or, Mirabel, a fifteen-year old lonely foster kid, moves to a quaint town that holds a mystery in the ocean. What she discovers rewrites the future for her and the lives that dwell in the sea.
