The Wizarding World has always been fickle but Harry hadn't realized they were fickle enough to turn on him so soon after the dust had settled. Forced to flee after once more being labeled as "Undesirable No. 1" Harry manages to evade capture for over 2 years before being brought in for a trial that feels like more of a farce than when he was forced to face the entire Wizengamot for an underage magic charge. He's not surprised by the verdict or even his sentence, what does surprise him is waking up again.

    Human horcruxes are not a thing and do not exist. Until Harry Potter, of course. And so, like most things when it comes to Harry Potter, who is to say where the goddamn limit is. As in, when Tom Riddle’s current home (diary) is destroyed, he tries to hitch a ride with the nearest host available: the tiniest sliver of his soul hidden in the kid that just killed him. Two years later, Voldemort is resurrected, and suddenly Harry Potter has to deal with a random voice taking up space in his thoughts, and, oh, he’s also gotten re-sorted into Slytherin, because clearly his life was not complicated enough already.

    Or, how abused traumatised kids really can win with the power of friendship and found family and no one is ever really alone.
