Reader wakes up one night to find their home city in complete chaos. Raccoon City has fallen and turned to the worst. While escaping their apartment building they come face to face with their neighbor Mikey Way. They quickly grow an attachment to the man.
They make their way to the city's police department for safety but all they're met with is more horror. It's their job to find a way to safety while meeting others to help them along the way.

"My pleas started simple, begging him to leave, crying to him about how bad I was and how he should hate me. Then it went to purposely making him mad in hopes he’d give up on me. Then moved to more risky behavior, staying out late, implying the illusion that I did not care about him despite the fact I did. Then it all ended in a break where I lost it completely, took a full backseat, and cheated and then I regained all the conscience I lost over the months as I slowly broke down, and started self-sabotaging myself."
It was a mistake; something that felt out of her control. She didn't want to hurt him, but she did. Now she has to find out if there's a way to get back what she lost and get better in the process.
