Summary
Detective ApoKuna doesn’t expect the Valentine Killer case to feel familiar.
The crimes are always the same: carefully staged scenes, red ink messages, and a signature split-heart symbol left like a calling card. But as Apo begins investigating, something feels wrong in a way she can’t explain. She predicts the killer’s patterns too easily. She understands the messages too quickly. And worst of all—she starts recognizing the style behind them.
The Valentine Killer, Cherrifire, doesn’t leave ordinary clues. The notes feel personal, almost conversational, as if they were meant for only one person to read. While everyone else sees a dangerous criminal leaving taunts behind, Apo sees something else: a pattern that feels like it’s been waiting for her to catch up.
The deeper she goes, the more the case stops feeling like a hunt—and starts feeling like a continuation of something she’s forgotten.
And Cherri is still writing to her.

Cherri was running, “of course, it had to be today” she muttered to herself, there was no reason today was worse than it would have been on any other day, but she was hoping that there wouldn't be a day at all.
Thornhelm decided to attack a gathering she was attending, most likely with the express purpose of capturing her for leverage in the war.
Realized that I hadn't seen any even vaguely enemies to lovers hellfire yet, so I decided to write some.
This is an AU where Apo was never rescued from Thornhelm and is now a full grown soldier who is entirely loyal to her kingdom until a certain princess manages to worm her way into her heartBookmarked by SL33PYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Cleo always knew her girlfriend had a special way with animals. But two years of living with Pearl’s Disney-princess-magic had convinced Cleo that they knew the extent of that connection.
They were proven wrong when she returned home one day with an injured bat.

Summary
“So, may I ask, how has the Princess been faring since leaving Soluna?” Alistar asked while they both watched Cherri and Ren cast spells against the arena soldiers.
“You know, she’s been terribly homesick since the moment we got on the rowboat. Though I do think that having her father here has very clearly lifted her spirits.” Apo replied as she saw Cherri burning the arena soldiers with a smile more radiant than the sun itself.
“That’s good to hear. You know, I wonder if roles will reverse between the two of you.” Alistar chuckled.
“What do you mean Alistar? I mean, I’ll never be a princess.” Apo asked.
“What I mean is that Cherri and Ren are individually ten times more powerful than the two of us combined could ever dream of. I mean, wouldn’t it be funny if the Princess became you’re guardian?” Alistar replied nonchalantly.
“Yes, it would be very funny.” Apo said solemnly as her chest began to feel heavy with the realization that she’s weak compared to Cherri and therefore useless as her knight.
