I was writing to him, and mentioned the stegosaurus thing you told me, about the size of its brain. So I mentioned you, too, and I realized: I want him to meet you. I want my kid to know you. Dios.
So, I decided to tell you that. And that I miss you. Because I do. We only had 5 fucking days together, but they were intense, to me at least.

EddieOR: Just before moving on to LA, Buck meets a soldier headed off to Afghanistan for the third time. The letters they keep exchanging do nothing, really, to make him feel less intensely for this ridiculously handsome man with an even cuter kid. Counting down the days to Eddie's return is a little unbearable, but he can deal with that - until the day his last, desperate letter is returned as undeliverable and his world shatters.

Nova slowly reaches out a tiny hand, brushing her fingertips across the birthmark on his face. The touch is light, barely there, but it hits him like a wave, a connection so pure and immediate that it fills his chest with a warmth he can hardly contain.
“Hi,” she murmurs softly, and when he smiles back at her, she lets out the smallest giggle, her eyes lighting up. It’s the most beautiful sound he’s ever heard, and in that moment, the weight of everything—his fears, his doubts, his past mistakes—falls away.
It’s like he’s discovering a part of himself he didn’t know existed, a love so powerful it feels like it’s been there all along, waiting for her. The way she looks at him, the way she seems to see him without needing to know who he is or where he’s been, fills him with a sense of purpose that feels both exhilarating and humbling.

Wolves come in many different colors and coat patterns, their pelts as widely varied as human coloring. It can lead to some interesting looking wolves or some wolves that simply look like german shepherds but are much, much bigger.
The 118 has no idea what Buck looks like in wolf form and it's on purpose. He's never shifted in front of them, never joined them on pack outings- hell he's not even officially in the pack even after all these years. He says it's "not safe." Eddie's determined to figure out why and change it.

Well, maybe his love life's dead, but his dream of being a dad doesn't have to be. Maybe he can do this on his own - even if he doesn't have a husband. Even if Keith's not here.
