Summary
Buck sighs and knocks his forehead against Eddie’s. “You’re right,” he says, quiet, nuzzling his nose against Eddie’s and stealing another couple kisses. “Hey. We’re in this together, okay?”
Eddie nods, says, “Yeah, we are,” and swallows Buck’s laughter. He wallows to his feet and pulls Buck up with him, too, before pushing Buck back on the bed to crawl over his big body for a few more kisses.
-
Eddie and Buck, recently married and moved into their new house, have the (dis)pleasure of unexpectedly hosting their parents through the holiday season. It’s not what either of them want or need, but they can get through it because they’re in this together. Right?

Summary
Buck is looking at Eddie like he’s expecting an answer. He’s worrying his bottom lip between his teeth, tearing the napkin in his hand to smaller and smaller pieces, and Eddie has no fucking idea what Buck is talking about so he takes the safe route and simply says, “Oh.”
“Would it? Be crazy?” Eddie may not know what Buck is referencing, but he’s watching him with those beautiful, blue eyes that are starting to look more and more worried by the second, and Eddie knows he needs to say the right thing here, to allay whatever concern is making Buck look at him like that.
“No, no, it wouldn’t be crazy,” Eddie says, and it must be the right answer because Buck's shoulders relax and the most beautiful smile takes over his face.

Summary
Maddie crashes Buck and Eddie's Friday night dinner while Christopher is away at camp, and she notices a difference in Buck and Eddie's relationship, but they're denying everything.
--------------------------------
“Everyone thinks what?” Buck interrupted, emerging from the kitchen with a dishtowel thrown over his shoulder.
“The same thing that Hen asked me last week. And Bobby when he handed us those forms...”
“Oh, that!” Buck laughed.
“Yeah, that. Why can’t two straight guys just be good friends without everyone thinking they’re in a relationship?” Eddie sighed.

Summary
“Uh, hey.” The guy blinks slowly and he is holding a piece of paper in his hands, glancing down at it and then back up at Buck with something very similar to the panic Buck was just feeling in the bathroom. “I think you might be my husband?” The guy croaks out, voice hoarse from just waking up and strained, breaking on the last word.
Buck glances down, his gaze shooting to the man's left hand and— yup, an identical plastic ring is on his finger. When Buck takes a step closer, the guy angles the piece of paper to the side, enough that Buck can read it's apparently a marriage certificate. It's signed sloppily and messily and he thinks that's his signature but it's all wobbly and the ink falls to the side like his hand slipped at the last second.

Summary
11 days, 3 hours and 24 minutes.
11 whole days. 3 painful hours. And 24 agonising minutes.
That’s how much time has passed since Buck last heard from Eddie, since he last got to hear his soothing voice whisper all the dates he has planned for them when he returns home, since he last got to trace the little crinkles at the side of his eyes through the screen when he smiles.
And it’s been the longest 11 days, 3 hours and 24 minutes of Buck’s life.
Make that 25 minutes now.
