Summary
The hooded figure scoffed amusingly from the shadows, its cowl turning to the side. ”And what would a lowly being such as yourself possibly have to offer Me?”
Derek looked back to the man through the caged door, “If you let him go, I will.. I offer my life. I offer to serve you however you shall see fit.”
“..I shall live only for You..”
===============
Derek had always been protective of Avery, but did not realize just how suffocating he had been until it was too late. Left with mere moments to decide, he gives up his freedom to allow his 'brother' to have a chance to finally live his life however he wants to. And be whoever he wanted.
But will this comforting notion be enough to help him adapt to this new way of life he's been forced into?

derlorde has a little nightmare and then king is clingy and then they make out on kings throne or something. and then my little guy walks in on them and immediately walks out cause poor mini Hastur has seen much worse from them woah baby.
Written from the perspective of the Infinity that makes sure that EVERYTHING that's every happened is recorded in words, basically Hastur's knowledge supplier. Their domain is an infinite library, currently with trillions of books, in which they've written everything that's ever happened. You've sneezed? It's in one of those books somewhere. I'll draw them at one point. Their name is Essayit. It's a pun. E-Say-It. if He-Said-It, it's in the library.

"....Well.. there's no way I can turn back now."
Right?
D3rlord3 crept towards the big yellow gates, sword in hand. He had to be careful in case something were to jump at him. Eventually, he opened the gate and a bright yellow light shone abruptly, causing him to throw his hands up to shield his eyes from the light.

Summary
Hastur felt disgustingly human. He hadn’t felt this way in eons. His being, every magnificent facet of His universal form was squished and shoved into a tiny, weak, mortal body. He wanted to tug His own skin off just to properly stretch out.
It took much longer than He would ever admit, but He finally managed to peel open His eyes.
He was greeted with the dim glow of a laptop screen.

“Despite your impudent tone, I have decided to spare you.”
Derlord blinked.
“I shall not take your life.”
Sorry, what?
“You have my word.”
The King flicked his hand, gesturing towards the gate behind the knight. A sincere promise, and yet, the mirthful tone of his voice implied it was anything but one.
“And close the gate as you leave. There is a draft.”

Summary
Derek was tired.
The King had tried to pretend at first, still did, to be even the smallest bit Avery. Pretended it cared at all about the world it conquered beyond what it could give it. Pretended…pretended it loved him.
Of course, Derek never believed the King. It wasn’t capable of such a thing. Obsession, maybe, though he had no idea what about him would possibly catch its attention when it had held such clear disdain for him before, but not love.
It had to be a game of some sort to the King, tormenting him with the face of his…with the face of Avery just to watch him suffer.

Summary
He stepped through the threshold, and the room on the other side was filled with nothing but the static sound of silence. He thought just for a minute, maybe he wouldn't have to deal with this obnoxious king. He'd spent so long trying to run from it, keeping Avery safe and ignoring the burning in his heart to return to these very gates. Just when the knight thought he could leave without facing the other, a familiar hum filled his mind, and blinding yellow filled the corners of his vision.
"And look what we have here…" A low voice seeped into his brain. Derek groaned at the feeling; no matter how many times it happened to him, it would always sting. It's slender yellow body materialized in front of him, an endless trail of yellow cloth following behind. Long, spindly fingers brushed over his chest plate; even through all the layers, he could still feel its touch.

He's going to die. He is going to die in this disgusting body, in a bed, when the clock strikes six. He won't die for a while though...no...he has a purpose currently.
A purpose he wished was never bestowed onto him. Yet it was here, fresh from the hospital, fresh from his body.
He should have never played that game.

Summary
“Does death really take a toll on your soul, my Knight?”
D3rlord snapped his neck back, seeing nothing.
Looking around vigorously for the once-familiar voice. Realization, or an even deeper sense of paranoia hit him— Was he going insane?“Little remarks like that make no sense. You seem… Puzzled, as if you were a lost dog. Do you want me to guide you again, perhaps?”
After merely escaping from insanity, D3rlord stops back at the village for some time to reflect. What he doesn't know is- the King in Yellow doesn't give up so easily.
