Summary
“I wish you were here,” said Jake quietly, like he was confessing something dirty and wrong. “I think I miss you.”
“Well, I know I miss you,” Bradley replied, easy as anything. “And I wish I was, too, so you can mutter sarcastic commentary in my ear and I can goad you into stupid shit in front of famous people.”
A laugh burst its way out of Jake’s lungs. “That’d be nice. I really do wanna come to your games, you know. Swear.”
“You think I don’t know that? Come to the ones you can, serenade me when you can’t, and enjoy doing what you do best, alright?”
“Which is?”
“Putting on the best show on the planet, charming the pants off everyone around you, and looking hot as hell the entire time,” Bradley answered promptly.
“Rude. I thought it was blowjobs.”

"I– I don't know. Sorry, please I just… I got lost, and then I fell and… ‘M sorry about the trespassing, but even if I knew how to get back I don’t think I could walk that far."
Jake could only pray that he made a pathetic enough picture here, shivering in the man's doorway, that he wouldn't be kicked back out into the night to fend for himself amongst the wolves.
In which Maverick and Ice are a pair of supernatural creatures living in a big, scary castle in the woods, and Jake is the dumb blonde who shows up at their door in the middle of a storm.

Poise. Elegance. Sophistication. Flair. A certain additional je-ne-sais-quoi that marries all the other four with a handful of glitter—these are the things that make a man. No, not a man, nor a God… a male figure skater. For Arnold Rimmer, these are a given.
One day, he is going to be a star.
One day, sooner than anyone would—
That’s when Lister hits him with the Zamboni.

Summary
Having just completed a mission that required multiple miracles, Bradley thinks the most miraculous thing of all is that he’s not furious at Maverick anymore. Or Hangman. Now that his relationship with Maverick is on the mend after talking about their past, Bradley starts to realize some other things. Like the fact that Hangman isn't such a bad guy and he maybe actually really likes him, like, a lot. Jake, meanwhile, starts to realize that Bradley may not, in fact, hate him for being an ass, while also trying to hide the fact that he’s been in love with Rooster for years. Without the anger characterizing every interaction, Bradley and Jake are left with the conclusion that there's more there that they hadn’t realized until now. But, as Bradley and Jake's icy relationship unexpectedly begins to thaw into a tentative friendship, the friction that existed between them sparks something deeper than they ever expected. Letting go of the past and respective fears is harder than they thought, but when it comes down to it, the question remains: will they have the courage to leap off their perches and take the shot?

Summary
Jake bet fifty-fifty on whether he was going to enjoy this conversation and stepped up to the passenger side door just as the window rolled down. He was greeted with a warm, smiling, moustachioed face which took him off guard. Though Jake didn’t recognise the driver, something about him verged upon familiar. His smile faltered as his gaze flitted over Jake’s face, eyes tightening in a way Jake didn’t want to overanalyse, but it made him seem no less friendly overall.
“Where you headed?”
“Closest ranch,” Jake replied, trying to keep his tone neutral as he made the snap decision to not identify himself for reasons he would rather not think about.
or... little bit of homecoming, whole lot of drama
