Summary
Orit wanted a fluffy fic about Henren. I hope you have a good dentist because I maybe went a bit overboard on the 'Give them the best day ever' for them!
Hope you enjoy!
Massive liberties taken with the lyrics of Seasons of Love (and My Funny Valentine for the title) but Karen just wants them to have some fun. She succeeds in making it happen.

Summary
Eddie is going through some shit. This, we know. He’s working on himself though, so when a sleepless night leads to an early run, he lets himself into Buck’s apartment to bring coffee. He did not account for the lack of privacy that mezzanine bedroom affords.
Or: Eddie accidentally walks in on Buck and Tommy having sex and three people have a crisis about it.
(Unbeata’d but happy if anyone wants to give it a going over. This was one of those ‘one scene got stuck in my head and I had to get it out’ moments so hope you enjoy!)

Summary
“Are those okay?” he asks, sweet and easy.
Eddie glances down. It’s Buck’s boxers, loose and comfortable and low on his waist. They’re light blue and nicer than the ones Eddie buys for himself. He smiles a little, looks up at Buck through his lashes.
“Better than okay,” he admits.
—five times eddie wears buck's clothes without understanding why; and the one time he does.

Summary
Buck likes to feed the ducks.
It’s a simple thing, really.
Quiet. Easy. Steady.
When he was little, Maddie would take him down to the lake with a paper bag full of bread, mostly the odds and ends no one wanted, crusts, heels, stale slices.
But to the ducks, it was a feast.
They’d sit on the worn wooden bench near the shore, shoes kicked off, toes curled into the grass, and tear the bread into tiny pieces, tossing it into the water one by one. The ducks would come paddling over in a flurry of feathers and excited quacking, pecking at the floating crumbs with enthusiastic energy.
Buck loved it.
He loved the way the water rippled out in rings, the soft sounds of beaks on water, and the way Maddie would smile at him like he was doing something important.
He was.
In his young mind, he wasn’t just feeding ducks, he was taking care of them.
Or; Over the course of his life, when things feel like too much, Buck finds a lake, feeds the ducks… and tells them all his secrets.

Summary
“I think you’re right.” Eddie says quietly. “I think maybe I am in survival mode. I think- maybe I have been for a while now. Since Shannon, maybe. I don’t know. I just-”
He cuts himself off.
“I don’t think I know how to do anything else,” Eddie admits. “How to be anything else.”
Or: how Eddie Diaz takes a long, hard look at himself, admits some truths, and builds his life back up.

Summary
Missing Chris is less of an emotion these days and more of a physical entity. He’s sure everyone can see that he’s slowly hollowing himself out, that he can’t do much of anything else.
But when Jee laughs at him trying to get his tongue to touch his nose, and Mara loops one of her arms through his to keep him from tossing the rest of his cup in the garbage, Eddie feels solid again.
Maybe he likes yellow birthday cake ice cream after all.
(or, gerrard messes with the team's schedules and eddie 'i just drove my son to flee the state' diaz is the only option to watch mara and jee-yun after school on tuesdays, which, shouldn't be a problem at all, right?)
