Queen Amelia’s firs act as Queen is to grant her grandmother and step-grandfather, newly minted Grand Duchess and Grand Duke of Pyrus, the right to not bow in her presence. Her second act is to grant clemency to Viscount Mabrey. Her third act is to invite Lord Nicholas Devereaux, newly returned from some impromptu vacation he took after her 21st Birthday Ball, to stay at the Palace of Genovia, as a gesture of goodwill after the unfortunate situation with his uncle.
Her fourth act might be to kill Lord Devereaux, or banish him…or kiss him. She isn’t sure yet.
(AU. Nicholas Devereaux dances with Mia at her 21st Birthday Ball and promptly leaves on vacation, returning after the coronation is done with, to ensuing drama.)
