Summary
When Arthur was young, he remembered asking his father about the golden thread on his finger and seeing Uther pale before going red. In a stern voice, his father told him that that meant a magic user had stolen his soulmate from him, either bewitching them or outright taking the thread from his original mate. It was a way for them to get to the crown and it meant that he needed to avenge his soulmate. The day he met the person that the thread was connected to now, he would have to kill them. Arthur’s eyes welled with tears that Uther scolded him for as he realized that he didn’t have a soulmate and he never truly would. He grew to hate his thread, knowing that it connected him to a murderer and he threw himself into training so that he could fulfill the task his father gave him and avenge his soulmate that never would be.
That lasted for a while, but it couldn't outlast Morgana.
A soulmate thread of fate AU where magic users get gold threads and Morgana as such learned about magic from her father so that she was knowledgeable and protected. Uther is Uther, Morgana can't stand that, but she has support and so does Arthur.

Summary
Some people can see their soulmate threads, Lucy has always been able to, one connecting to Norrie, two others headed off down South, towards London. When Norrie is ghost-locked, the thread goes gray and Lucy leaves when it starts looking frail and fragile as Norrie. When she gets to London, soulmates are the last thing on her mind and she doesn’t want to open up again, especially since there is a black strand for Norrie woven around her finger, connected to nothing.

Summary
The first time it happens, most people don’t think much of it. Connor and Hank are back from New York and Connor extends a hand to interface with Nines as is their typical habit, but Nines flinches back from the hand like it’s scalding. He quickly apologizes and reaches out himself, but Connor doesn’t miss the slight, nearly nonexistent shake of his hand and Gavin, watching from his desk, doesn’t miss the tension hidden between Nines’ eyes.
Neither of them miss the fact that Nines interfaces less after that.

After nearly a year in prison, Breekon and Hope were just about ready to put their ingenious escape plan into motion. They had plotted, schemed, ironed out all the snags and hiccups, and spent several months painstakingly sharpening teaspoons.
It was something of an anticlimax, then, to be called to an unscheduled parole hearing and told that, due to a very effective appeal (which they hadn’t even been aware of) the charges had been revised and their sentence drastically reduced.
In short, they were free to go.
Which was bewildering, of course, but they managed, just about, to prevent themselves from arguing on the grounds of all the effort they had put into their plans and to accept their release gracefully.

Any moment now, he will open his eyes and be greeted by the hazy low-light outline of the stained navy-and-star lampshade that has migrated from his childhood bedroom to his Stockwell flat. There will be a patch of damp beside it, and Jane Prentiss will be knocking on the door, and the sleep deprivation and hysteria caused by that recurrent fact will be the reason for the strange and vivid dreams he will be waking from.
Martin is going to wake up soon, because there is absolutely no way that he is sharing a sofa, and sharing a blanket, and sharing the last of a family bag of Magic Stars from the service station, in rural Scotland, with a sock-footed Jonathan Sims, who looks so soft, and so nervous, and there is absolutely no way, no possible way in the whole world, that he, and sock-footed Jonathan Sims, are preparing to have a conversation about relationship boundaries.
