I …” he squeezed his eyes shut to halt the tears from falling. “I know, ok? I’m not an idiot. I know that this is not good, and not healthy, and that the Boy Who Lived should not to this. But I can’t stop it. I need this!” he pleaded with the man to understand. One person, there had to be one bloody person in this stupid castle who understood. This was the only way he could function - and he had to function because he could not let anybody else die or be harmed in any way.

Bucky fucking loves it. It means Steve’s alive.

Bucky looked up and met his gaze with glossy eyes. “It’s different.”
“What is?”
He looked back down at the papers in front of him. “Seeing it in print.”
Steve swallowed, unsure of a response.
“Have you read this?”
He shook his head. “No, Buck. And I won’t if you don’t want me to.”
Bucky didn’t answer for several minutes. Eventually he gathered the papers and slid them back into the folder. He stood from the table, pressing the file into Steve’s chest. “You should,” he said, his voice grave. “You should know what I’m capable of, what I’ve done.”
OR
Bucky waits for Steve to come home from the hospital following the events on the helicarriers, though he doesn't fully understand why. They embark on a cross country journey before being snapped back into reality. Story of healing, promises, guilt, shame, avoidance, forgiveness, family, and love.

When the Grim arrived at Malfoy Manor, Draco knew he didn’t have much time left.
It was really quite inconsiderate of it, to only appear after the war was over. Draco had thought he was free to trudge about the Manor in gloomy isolation, feeding the thestral herd and staring glumly at yet another cucumber-and-cheese sandwich. Even the portraits had fled.
