Summary
“I’m so tired.” The man told the stars. “Close your eyes and rest. You’ll feel refreshed by Dawn.” The celestial bodies whispered back, filled his head with empty promises and white lies.
“And what if I still feel exhausted when I wake up?” The man asked, voice filled with worry. “Then we’ll kiss the exhaustion away. Like tiny daggers piercing your heart. We’ll tear you apart and stitch you back together, like we’ve done a million of times. Like old lovers falling back into their favourite dance to the same old song.” The cluster of diamonds promised.
“One day the lovers will be laid to rest. They’ll share a final dance, a last kiss goodnight. Will that be ours?” The man whispered hoarse. “Perhaps. If that’s the case, we should make it a grand epic finale.” They replied.
“And if it’s not?” The man asked worriedly.

Summary
“Phainon.”
Said man perks up at the call of his name and it’s- it’s ridiculous, paired with those fluffy ears. Truly ridiculous. But it might be the cutest thing Khaslana has ever seen.
Khaslana tugs lightly at one of Phainon’s ears, the folded one, until it stands up straight. “Have you always had these?”
Phainon’s mouth drops open in a small o. He doesn’t seem to bother checking for the ears himself, but he does grope blindly around behind him, seemingly searching for the matching tail to go with.
It takes a second, but he finds it, curled up against his lower back, already swishing back and forth in a small happy wag.
“Eh…?” He drags his wide eyes back to Khaslana. “You’re kidding…”

They thought this whole sudden transformation issue was behind them, and then one day Phainon gains his own pair of puppy ears and a tail that just won’t stop wagging. Khaslana… deals with it.

Summary
Cheng Xiaoshi has returned to the present. The present, where everything was fine. The present, where nothing was wrong, where no one was suffering.
All except for him.
He had failed. He had failed to save everyone from the catastrophic earthquake of 2008. He had followed the first idea that came to mind, an attempt to try and save everyone before the earthquake reached them. Yet that had ended in failure.
He had made a mistake. One simple mistake that turned into a series of more mistakes, like knocking over a row of domino pieces that had previously been neatly aligned, standing in rows.
He had been warned countless times by Lu Guang not to change the past, a warning which he had gone against.
