Summary
The story ended like this: two boys standing on the shore of a lake, the spring wind just starting to warm with a touch of summer heat. The words “I’m coming with you” and “you need me” and “I love you” ring in the air, echoing with fervor and softness in equal measure. A joint promise to leave all they know behind. Two teenagers, standing on the precipice of saving the world.
Except it wasn’t the end of the story. Not really.
Because the story begins again like this.
// Keith and Lance have survived the trials of the Triwizard Tournament and a battle against the Dark Lord himself, but the war for the Wizarding World is just beginning. Keith, eternally impulsive, decides to run away from Hogwarts with Lance. Together, hidden in a safe house, unable to contact their old friends, they find new allies in the Blade of Marmora.
When the Galra attack, Keith has to decide how far he is willing to push the boundaries of everything he thought he knew in order to protect the ones he cares about. Following in his father’s footsteps leads Keith, with Lance by his side, down a path of secrets and dark magic that he could have never imagined as he finds himself burdened with an impossible task.

"Lance had watched Keith Kogane win a bar fight with a broken hand, rip open a keg with a knife, and complete a whole wretched ensemble of activities you definitely shouldn’t do with a beer in hand.
And yet here he was, glittery Sharpie in hand, waiting to sign Lucy’s copy of Altea.
Lance opened his mouth to say something arguably rude and not appropriate for their current audience. Until he remembered that he himself had either watched or participated in these activities and was now holding a four-year-old containing his DNA. So Lance didn’t have much of a leg to stand on either."
When Lance runs into his ex-boyfriend at a children’s book signing, he not only finds out that Keith Kogane ages like fine wine, but he also apparently wrote his daughter’s favorite book. As Keith lingers in town, Lance frantically tries to keep his daughter from realizing that the writer is not only a person from Lance’s past, but a character in her bedtime stories as well.

Summary
Keith was like the night, calming, soothing, scary, protective, and unreachable. Still, that didn't stop him from loving anyway. Keith didn't want him, and Lance would be okay with that. Life on Altea was perfect, to those that didn't know the lies being told.
Altea was built on secrets, Lance himself was one giant lie. But they kept lying anyway, hiding assassination attempts, traitors, death and a False Prince. Even with all this, Lance still had Keith, the one person who never lied to him.
Well, Lance thought Keith never lied to him.
