Brilliant emotional exploration of the issues involved when an asexual and a sexual person fall in love. Avoids both the "John doesn't mind" and "Sherlock comes to love sex" tropes I hate and depicts the emotional dynamic in a heart-wrenchingly real and intense way. Unfortunately unfinished as of yet.

Sherlock is bored and decides to take John to various sex clubs so he can observe him with others and figure out what John likes. John goes along with it because it is hot and he thinks this is the only way he can ever have Sherlock: as a spectator.
Billed as porn and fantastically hot but what really got me about this fic is the realistic and painful depictions of the emotions involved in this sort of scenario. I gave up a night of sleep to read this and it made me cry twice. In a good way.
