Summary
Monsters have been on the surface for over two years, flooding the already volatile streets of Ebott City with more crime and tension than ever thanks to the two syndicate factions that formed in wake of the barrier's fall. One is headed by Toriel Dreemurr - former queen of monsters with an openness for working with the existing dons and crime kingpins to further her own agenda. The other led by Asgore Dreemurr - king of all monsters with a thinly veiled disgust at trading one murderous prison for another for his people, his own goals just as suspicious as his ex-wife's.
Red is just trying to get by in a society run by humans he can barely tolerate where the only thing either side seems to have in common is the presence of secondary genders and a cautious distrust of each other. Meeting a prostitute in a bar won't do much to change his mind. Even if their first meeting involved a shoot-out in an alley and keeping her from becoming Alphys's new best friend.
Her being his boss's favorite side-piece? The beginning of a really big fuckin' headache.
