With new worlds opening up for colonization beyond a wormhole gate at the edge of Sol, both Earth and Mars are scrambling to stake claims on the new worlds.
Two former warships, Erebus and Terror, have been outfitted to undertake exploration of RG1256, an Earth-like planet beyond one of the gates. But there is still much that humanity doesn't know about the technology it so carelessly makes use of, as the crew of those ships will soon discover.
