The knight, with the dramatics of having slept for a hundred years, slowly raised their torso with the help of a propped elbow. They rubbed their eyes and face. It barely seemed to do anything.

Rumi and Jinu had been meeting in secret for some time. Initially, Jinu’s goal was to manipulate Rumi in order to destabilize Huntrix from within. However, as their meetings continued, he unexpectedly began to fall fast. At the same time, Rumi was trying to get information from Jinu about Gwi-ma and uncover more about her own demon origins—especially since spending time with him seemed to ease her vanishing voice. Despite their hidden motives, both of them slowly found themselves genuinely falling for each other.
Unfortunately for Rumi, Mira starts becoming suspicious over their leader's vanishing acts, so she finally confronts her one and one.

If only he had noticed the soldier who snuck up behind him, he wouldn't be dying, staring into the horizon and reminiscing about the sins he committed. This was the end he deserved for a lifetime of lies, wasn't it?
