He wasn’t sure what was running faster, his heart rate or his mind. - wait was he dying? Was this death?- No-maybe? No, he could vaguely process the sensation of Darius’ hand still on his shoulder.... It had happened so fast, yet it ‘s still playing in slow motion in his head over, and over, and over again. The van, The creature- no, the monster, Bumpy. Yasmina floored it and Sammy hadn’t had enough time to close the door after them, it wasn’t her fault and he didn’t blame her; he was the last one that could have closed the door. And suddenly, the ungodly strength the was using to try and breath gave out. He was hyperventilating again.

“We were told the Paladins of Voltron are from Earth,” the alien snapped. “And yet our scanners tell us that you are Galran.”
Keith scowled, but he didn’t look surprised. “Half-Galra. And why does that matter?”
