“Really now,” Gakuganji snorted, doubtful. “How convenient. Who is this alpha, then?” And of course, Satoru had seen that question coming as soon as his claim of having a mate was halfway out of his mouth, but by that point he was already talking and it was too late to stop.
“So nosy.” He wagged his finger in a tut-tut motion in the geezer’s face, watching him turn a horrible shade of angry red. “It’s Geto Suguru, of course.”
Satoru's sick and tired of all the higher-ups insisting he needs to find an alpha and settle down just because he's an omega, and the simple lie that Suguru is his mate seems like the easiest way to get some peace and quiet. What could go wrong?

It’s strange to repeat words from more than a decade ago to the same person. “You can call me Satoru.” He hopes he calls him Satoru.
“I’m Geto,” he says back. You were Suguru to me, Gojo thinks. “Nice to meet you, Satoru.”
“Nice to meet you, too.” He leans against the wall beside him, tries to look nonchalant as he does. “So, do you come here often?”
Geto thinks Gojo is just a lonely guy who wants friends. Gojo just wants to know if he remembers him, even just a little bit.

He'd seen Hinata cry twice before then; the second time after losing to Seijoh, and the first after losing to him. Hinata had vowed to defeat him, then.
But the fight wasn't a loss. It was just a fight. Hinata cried, after Kageyama made him sad. Nobody had ever cried, over Kageyama before. They got angry, or they gave up on him, but they didn't care deeply enough to cry.
But Hinata cares about things, about all things, deeply.'

Summary
They’re only one tiny little step apart. Hinata takes that one step, the crunch resounding in the silence of the night. The snow underneath them sparkles under the streetlights. There’s a question in Kageyama’s eyes that he doesn’t vocalize—strange, Hinata would think at any other time, given how blunt Kageyama is—as Hinata puts one hand on Kageyama’s shoulder and finally, impulsively, stupidly kisses him.
Kageyama startles, and the pieces of Hinata’s mind come back together. He just kissed someone—kissed Kageyama, of all people—without even asking first. As he moves away, apologies about to spill out, Kageyama’s hand shoots out to pull him back in, hand clutching the back of his coat so tightly that Hinata can feel the drag of Kageyama’s nails on his back.
Or: things are always simple when it comes to them.
