He tightens his limbs against his body. He feels the scrape of his bare heel as it catches the soft fibers of the bedsheets. He listens to the air recycler, surging and ebbing at regular intervals. The cool breeze feels almost too decadent. The temperature is ideal. His bed is comfortable. If he wants for anything, he knows Qui-Gon will come in a matter of moments. He has been given his life back. Eventually the memory of the cell and its blank black pain will fade. This must be true.

Slight AU where the Zygerria Arc is almost the same, but Obi-Wan and Rex stay imprisoned at Kadavo for weeks. Hope crumbles each day as Obi-Wan takes physical as well as moral blows while Rex watches from the sidelines, powerless to fight back due to the general's orders. With no rescue in sight and the Togrutas' lives on the line, the two try to hold onto their identities and simply survive.

Droves of terror clogged the heavy, sweaty air, and every sound, however faint, was like a physical ripple across the crowd. Every sound. The jingling of keys, the clicking of locks, the thudding of boots, and that’s how the nights on Kadavo started—with a gradual increase in the degree of quiet.
OR—during the mass casualty event following Kadavo and Zygerria, Obi-Wan and Anakin seek ways to cope with trauma.
