Summary
The year is 1955.
After years of humanity's struggle to survive under the attacks of the doppelgangers, the DDD came up with a solution. Walls. Thick, tall, walls for the sake of humanity. Across the world, cities are divided by these walls. No one, including doppelgangers, can get in or out, in the hopes of one day creating a society that doesn't have to live under the looming force of death. Within those cities more walls are constructed, in the form of apartment buildings: forced residency to keep humans safe in numbers.
Nearly a decade has passed since the walls went up, but the struggle to survive still looms as the doppelgangers reproduce seemingly as fast as they are exterminated. The door guards protect the apartment buildings from the threats, working together with the DDD to eliminate them.
It seems that things are slowly getting to a sense of normalcy. Humanity might be able to survive.
Until he made an appearance. Wearing the face of a resident from her building, the Milkman, Francis, he attempts to enter the building, and she is the only one able to stop him. His interest in her might just be what this world needs to finally tilt the scales for survival.

Like, to the point hes thinking of going harder (👀) that night just so in the morning, when reader is absent or limping, full of hickeys, wrong tie/something with serverus would wear daily (can be placed in their students era w reader same year as him or as professors)

Esmeralda learns that Claude Frollo responds very well to being rewarded for good behavior.
Takes place after Frollo burns down the Millers' home and Phoebus almost gets killed. Esmeralda decides she needs to take matters into her own hands and put an end to this before anyone gets hurt.Because I am convinced that if Esmeralda's interaction with Frollo during her Festival dance told us anything, it's that if she played her cards right, she would've had all of the power in this dynamic.
Also it simply makes sense to me that Esmeralda would've turned herself in to stop innocent people from being hurt....
