Summary
Sonics knew his intentions were good, but he never asked Tails how he feels about the whole situation. The fox assumed that Sonic doesn't want to spend as much time with him as Tails does with the hedgehog. It left him kind of disappointed and left out. He's scared that someday, the blue hedgehog wouldn't come back to pick him up from the library anymore, and his new “home” would be a thousand shelves full of books instead of the presence of the hero of Mobius.

Or: Tails overthinks about the number of times Sonic reduced their time together, but luckily the hedgehog noticed that during their hang-out on top of a tall building.

“Ew, stop.” Amy shooed it away, standing on her tip-toes to look at the ones up higher.
“What?” Sonic’s head tilted as he frowned in disappointment, holding it out in front of himself. “It has bows!”
“Knuckles, please take that off…” Tails said in the background, sighing deeply as he watched Knuckles slide a bra over his head.
“But it fits so well!” The echidna insisted.
Amy groaned loudly. She was already regretting this, and they hadn’t even been there for five minutes.

Tails bites his tongue from making another remark. His many years of watching Sonic have taught him a thing or two about enemies' tolerance to back-talk, and he really would like to avoid getting hurt, mostly to keep Sonic's mother henning at bay once all of this is over.
There is one thing, however, that confuses him.
"And why, pray tell, would Eggman want this?" The kit asks as his namesakes twitch harshly once more.
The fox stops right in front of him, purple eyes bringing an unwelcome memory to the surface. Did the leader have to be a fox? It is making it severely more difficult to find the situation funny when Mr. Asshole over here is damping the mood.
"A certain hedgehog might get a little bit more collaborative that way." The older fox explains, eyes glinting with mirth.

Tails knows a thing or two about being kidnapped. At twelve years old he has lost count of how many times a villain or Eggman has so rudely stolen him away to try and make a bargain with Sonic. But the hedgehog always saves him, it shouldn't be too different this time around.
If only these kidnappers weren't so boring.

Eventually, fans begin to file out of the MMJ venue. Strangely, the Shinonome’s stay in the venue until the majority of people have left. Ena just gestures to the two to follow her, the four turning to a different hallway from the main exit.
Mizuki admits that curiosity is building.
Eventually the four reach a door, closer to backstage than the entrance of the venue. Ena knocks on the door and announces that it’s her before Mizuki can stop the brunette. Isn’t this like a staff entrance? Maybe Ena’s little sister worked at the venue?
The door opens excitedly and Mizuki tries not to squeal in delight. Out bursts More More Jump!’s Minori, dressed in casual clothes with a wide grin on her face. Mizuki can hear Rui suck in a breath upon seeing the idol as well.
“Sis!” Minori cheers, as she launches into a hug with the siblings. “You came!”
