How fortuitous. The blame had been claimed so thoroughly by Haitang, Qiu Jianluo was blazing full steam ahead on the topic of the manor’s cleansing. The master cultivator himself couldn’t even apologise for his disciple, for fear of offending the Qiu’s further, and all ‘A-Yuan’ had to do now was stand there and wring his hands.
Shen Jiu stared at the other boy. Was it on purpose?

Shen Qingqiu couldn’t drag his gaze away from the horribly familiar pair of wide eyes staring back at him from the bottom of his bronze mirror. He’d forgotten how uncomfortably large his eyes looked in a face this small, cheeks too thin. His hair was slipping out of the adult-sized hairpiece, now completely failing in its task on a much smaller head, and pooling around his shoulders.
Ming Fan slammed the tray down on the low table and marched over, his look of fury blanching as he got a good look at the malnourished child in the mirror.
“You- Shizun-”
Shen Qingqiu’s eyes widened further.
“-Shizun has a child?”

After suffering a Qi Deviation, Shen Qingqiu wakes up in a body that brings back bad memories, with nothing but an unsubstantiated plan to return back to adulthood. He is certain, however, that this is somehow entirely Yue Qingyuan’s fault.
Gaining new perspective, healing old wounds, and spreading rumours of the bastard child of the Qing Jing Peak Lord was not at all part of said plan.

People are going there half-clothed, often restrained, and little is known about what is happening inside. All we know is that people are not returning to their villages.” Hua Cheng supplied evenly.

“Seems that way.” Liu Qingge acknowledged.
Tianlang Jun leaned a little closer toward him, and Liu Qingge felt his temperature jump out of his usual comfort level.
“I’d say there is an obvious solution here.” Tianlang Jun said with all the confidence of a man about to step off a hidden drop, “You and I should spend the Festive Season together! We’ll make a schedule.”
Liu Qingge didn’t like the way he said 'schedule'.

When he pulled back, Shen Qingqiu kept his eyes closed as he pressed their foreheads together. He didn’t want to know how Yue Qingyuan looked right now, whether he was disgusted or simply shocked.
Shen Qingqiu tucked his head against Yue Qingyuan’s neck as he fisted his hands in his robe. “Save me,” he whispered.
