Summary
Slowly, it opened its eyes, blinking sluggishly before sweeping its gaze from left to right. Its surroundings were muggy - the ‘blinding’ light was actually quite dim, so it couldn’t see much, but it could tell that it was in some sort of cellar. The floor and walls were made of a dark blue brick, much of which was either cracked or split by plantation of some form. Bits of machinery littered the area, and a plethora of folders, crates, and pouches of dilapidated materials were scattered in random places.

It felt like it should’ve known exactly where it was and exactly what it was supposed to do. A part of its mind was waiting for a task to fulfill or a role to embrace - but without either of those things, it was left with a persistent sensation of emptiness that gnawed at its chest and made it more anxious than it already was. Its whole world was off-kilter and it didn’t know why.

Rewrite of 'Staring at the Face of Tomorrow'. That story had a bit too many issues so I decided to start fresh.

Summary
Rusty thought that joining Thunderclan would be relatively straightforward. He was prepared to work hard and do what he could to become a strong, dependable warrior.
But then he awakened a Persona, gained access to a realm overrun with shadowy monsters, and had to fight said shadowy monsters alongside a cat who hated him and another cat who never seemed to have a straight answer. He also had to (somehow) balance that with a normal social life.
He really had no idea what he was in for.

Summary
A mansion.
Out of everywhere he could’ve gone, he had to pick the mission that led him to a mansion. A derelict and old one, if the rotting wood, broken windows, and vine-infested walls were to be believed. It looked one shove away from toppling over.
Staring at it also invoked that same sense of wrongness that he’d felt earlier. He still wasn’t sure what to make of that.
