    Summary

“It’s a little difficult to think clearly with a knife pressed to his jugular, but Neil manages to wonder if he should’ve let the FBI send him to jail instead of here.

It makes sense, unfortunately, that after finding Neil bruised, burnt, and bleeding out on the cold cement floor of his father’s basement, Special Agent Todd Browning might have had some concerns for Neil’s health.

Neil just didn’t expect that concern to include his mental health, too.

Browning had offered Neil a choice that day - after listing out, like, fifty reasons why he thought Neil might benefit from some therapy.

Life in prison or a sixty day stay in a psych ward, followed by freedom.

Neil thought the answer was obvious, but his new roommate still hasn’t removed his blade from Neil’s throat - which Neil is now realizing isn’t actually a knife, but a razor blade taped to the butt of a toothbrush - so he’s rethinking that answer a bit.”

    Summary

When he’d decided to traverse the borders of the north turret in search of an easy way into the palace, he hadn’t exactly been expecting to see a murder in progress. Much less a murder by defenestration of one King Edward VI.

He watches in the bushes, hiding from as many guards' sight as he can, as the window of the topmost room of the turret is flung open. It's midnight, and so at first Fitz thinks he must be seeing things, but his eyes are rarely betrayed by the dark, even while in human form.

Fitz watches, dumbfounded, as a head pops out from the highest window of the turret and looks down down down to the ground far beneath it. He is unable to look away as the man climbs slowly out of the window. It is dark, yes, but the light from the moon shines bright enough for Fitz to see clearly how much of an idiot said man is.

    “What the fuck?”

    -

Or: Fitz is a detective, jumps in the River Thames, and questions the merits of defenestration.

    Summary

The kyber crystal chooses the Jedi. Wielding a saber whose crystal didn't choose you will never be as easy as wielding your own. This means sabers a) have the capacity to like or dislike people and b) have the capacity to be obstinate little shits to people they dislike.

If a certain Jedi's saber really likes you, I'm not saying it means you're soulmates, but I'm not saying it DOESN'T mean you're soulmates, either.

Most works reference each other but stand alone fairly well, so reading previous isn't necessarily required, but I would recommend reading at least the first before Cards on the Table. To readers who want all the fluff and nothing else, skip that last one. Series is listed as complete but I may wander back someday should my muse desire.

Works inspired by/podfics/"what if"s/etc are all welcome, just let me know so I can check them out!
