When Efra learned about Ryder´s retaking of the Salarian Ark, he would be the last to openly admit he was impressed. When he learned she died to get out of a stasis field, he would be the last to openly tell her how irresponsible she was, and how infuriatingly casual she was about and AI killing her. He would also be the last to admit his relief that she was alive, and his worry about her current state.
So when Jaal tells him she will be at the lake later that day, he decides to go.
