Summary
Emerson Kent abruptly asks for a few days off and heads out of London. He has to get away from Whitechapel. He has to work free of his feelings for D.I. Joseph Chandler, which are obviously not returned or even recognized.
He ends up taking a train to Oxford, where he meets a local D.S. at a pub. James Hathaway is in some ways similar to his boss, but soon Kent stops comparing the men. In fact, the more he gets to know Hathaway, the less he finds himself thinking about Chandler at all.

Summary
Fifth year holiday - Harry and the Weasleys are in Grimmauld Place while Arthur Weasley is in St. Mungo's after being attacked by Nagini. Harry can't sleep and wanders the ancient Black home to distract his mind from the horrific vision he experienced from Nagini's pov. He comes across boxes of various dark artifacts that Sirius has been collecting and storing away while the house is cleaned and accidentally activates something that sends him fifteen years into the future.
His future self is expecting him, as he remembers experiencing this event, fifteen years prior. He informs his younger self that he will be in the future for two weeks before magically going back to his own time. During that time, the elder Harry will tell him how to defeat Voldemort and survive. But there's just one little thing he should know before they get started. Harry's husband is sleeping in the next room over, and he just happens to be Draco Malfoy.

Summary
The Avengers get sent back in time to WWII where they run into the Howling Commandos... complete with Bucky and Steve. Little hard to explain that away, especially when you are trying to keep some major secrets. Secrets like how you ended up in the future and why the hell Bucky is now a scary (reformed) assassin with a metal arm, not to mention that you married your friend's son.
