He faces no less challenges in his journey of becoming a symbol of justice for the falsely accused. He faces no less pain when he becomes a defense attorney, but his losses don't shape him into a cruel figure of perfection. The same cannot be said for his childhood best friend, Phoenix Wright, who changed completely from the emotionally inept child he once knew. Miles' sympathy for this flanderized, Shakespearean-like snake must be forgotten about if he wishes to protect the people he cares for most. That is, until he remembers who it is that he truly loves more than anything.

Actually, it was clearly outlined in a few of their rule books and articles and whatever else it is they had to keep people in line, it was clearly stated that nobody should be at this specific place on this specific day. But the Doctor had never been one for following rules or laws or any type of guideline.

Summary
Your typical Role Swap AU, where Miles is a Defense Attorney and Phoenix is a Prosecutor. The only other role change is Maggey Byrde being the main detective and Gumshoe being the police officer. I thought up this AU with multiple different plot points I've tossed around but never had enough substance to make into a full fic. Somehow I was able to make it all make sense in my head. I take a lot of inspiration from other Ace Attorney role swaps, specifically for how I've changed Miles and Phoenix's designs. I wanted to keep as many plot points as I could for each character, so something that happened in canon probably also happened in my AU, just with a different way of the event actually happening. I hope that makes sense
I only have the main plot for the original Ace Attorney trilogy planned out, but if I get around to actually finishing my rewrite like I want to, I might write a couple oneshots for Ace Attorney Investigations and the Apollo Justice Trilogy. I truly appreciate every single person who reads my fic and I hope you have as much fun reading as I do writing!!

Summary
Phoenix wanted to make Pearl’s first Valentine’s day one to remember, and he certainly succeeded… just not in the way that he hoped.
Thanks to an attempted murder, Edgeworth decides that it’s about time he returned to America. Once home, he promises Phoenix Wright that he will repay him for saving his life. This quickly becomes a more complicated task than he’d originally envisioned. Not only does Edgeworth have to bring Phoenix’s “killer” to justice, but he also has to focus on fixing all of the damage he’d done to his friends psyche.

We all know that Phoenix loves Miles and that he will to any lengths to reconnect, save, and love him. However what happens when this familiar script gets flipped on it head and Miles has to be the one to win Phoenix over? Will his carefully made plan, made with the assistance of an unlikely source, be enough to win the heart of the man he loves? Or will he find love is not so easy to pin down even with Miles considerable tenacity and carefully created list?

Summary
Miles Edgeworth was not one to get distracted. Except for when he sat in the library, staring out the window to see that man who ruined it all. Painting in the gardens, looking ever so beautiful—how could Miles not stare? Stare at his supposed childhood friend who was now ignoring him for whatever reason?
Miles wasn’t hurt—frankly, he didn’t care! It wasn’t like he wanted to reconnect either, he was simply… curious. Yes, curiously watching from the library window for a hideous pink sweater and a pair of heterochromatic eyes that weren’t supposed to be looking back at him.
Wait, what?
A ‘leave me alone’ or a ‘I know you like me’ would've done him in. He was ready.
“I want to teach you how to paint.”
That, he was not ready for.
or, Miles agrees to let Phoenix teach him how to paint, and he un(fortunately) gets more than he signed up for. Everything is fine.
