Mark stared into the darkness of his home, and a thought slithered into his brain, hesitant and small. Was it because she was. . .
No. He would not finish that thought.
A soldier was only as good as his reconnaissance. So Mark decided he would do his due diligence. To understand what had stayed his hand, he would research her. And after he’d found the fault in his circuitry, he’d kill her.
As the weeks pass, his hands close around her.
A collar would look so pretty around her delicate throat.
