“I was wondering if that’s what that was.” Arasha says, “I was like ‘mh, odd. I’ve never seen Angela wear something like this’.”

“It should be me wearing that crown, not you. You, you pathetic you. 3 years spend bumbling around on a fool’s errand while I actually studied under our father’s tutelage!”
Erratic, he thinks as her flyways singe at the ends and golden hue burns into yellow embers. Zuko can feel the guards looking to him for direction. Armor shuffling nervously and gloved hands tightening around their spears.
Still – she is in the cage, and they are not.
She’s roamed closer now to the iron bars, nearly nose to nose with Zuko. He’s close enough to see the smattering of red on her cheek from crying.
It reminds him of when she was a toddler. A little girl with ruddy red cheeks and shiny gold eyes sniffling as Zuko frantically tried to placate her awful tears.
Is he allowed the bitter lump of tears in his throat? He sees how far from grace she’s fallen and can’t help but mourn.
“I’ll be back tomorrow.”

At first the boy is believed to be the child of a war bride a water tribeswoman stolen from her home during a raid but they quickly come to realize they got which parent might be water tribe mixed up. The Akhult’s crew is left scrambling to figure out who might be the boy’s real father. The kid in question doesn’t even know his own name but to hell if they are giving the kid back to the fire nation or the man who burned him.
